Using the sniper rifle in Killzone 2: A photo tutorial

Here's a handy, step-by-step guide to using the sniper rifle in the smash-hit PlayStation 3 shooter, Killzone 2.

1. Press L2 to take cover

2. Push upward on the left stick to slide out of cover

3. Click the right stick to look down the gunsight

4. Aim with the right stick

5. Adjust the zoom by pressing up on the D-pad

6. Press R1 to fire

7. Headshot!

That is why I can't get the zoom to work! I tried every other trick, but not pushing up on the D pad, which is impossible while in cover (cover is very necessary, of course), unless you have an extra set of hands.

Wait, what is the 4th hand doing?

4th hand is obviously taking photos! Man this game thought of everything.

My theory is they were trying to tap into the popularity of the Metal Gear series by biting it's ridiculously obtuse control scheme.

This is awesome and should be seen by everyone.

Also, insert predictable comment about keyboard and mouse here.

Final step: drop the sniper and switch back to your regular assault rifle.

It's the "Citizen Kane" of control schemes! :P

See, my tactic was to completely ditch using cover to focus on sniping. Just stick to the corner and edge out a little. Then, you don't need to use your third arm!

@Rikki I've found toes useful on the occasion, too.

Okay, okay, okay. I have to comment, belated as the date may be.

Not only is this post totally hilarious, but in the opening sentence, did you really refer to it as a "handy" guide?

*checks post*

Yep, you did.

Just... wow.
