Ten dollars to any reader*

Who can point out one real, substantive difference between Kotaku, Joystiq, and Game|Life. I have them all in my Google reader and it's like getting the day's most unimportant news in THX surround sound. Did you know they're making a game based on the Saw movies? Can I tell you three times?

Seriously, though: which of these three should I keep in there?

*Offer not valid.

Tough call. Game|Life's better written, but Kotaku is the most thorough among the three. Safe to say you won't miss anything if you stick to it.

Definitely not Joystiq, that site has gone downhill in ways which may only exist in my imagination.

I'd go with Kotaku personally.

I, too, throw my weight behind Kotaku. Joystiq seems to be trying really hard to get laughs, and it usually does not succeed. Their news seems like it's often late, too.

Kotaku is probably the best, but I think I'm going to be sacriligious and propose the following solution if you are a completist:

Put the really fattening feeds -Kotaku, Joystiq, etc. and sometimes even GamesetWatch (though I like some of the columns, say Sexy Videogameland and @play) in a folder called Games - Fat in google reader. Then read that folder as an aggregate every few days, scanning through the headlines and hit the liberating "mark all as read" when done. You really won't miss too much.

Thanks for everybody's input. I think I'll keep Kotaku in my main games folder, but it may not be a bad idea to put the other two in a "separate but equal" folder.
