The best game so far this year
Even just looking at what's coming in the next couple of months -- including God of War II, Mass Effect, and BioShock -- it's hard to imagine that Crackdown will end up being the game of the year. But it's the first possible contender.

Open wide for some soccer!
Some Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007, that is. I was pretty happy with this game, as I haven't found a sports game enjoyable in quite some time.

The Mii creator is a powerful tool
Apparently my nephew, who is not yet two years old, was able to correctly identify my Mii as "Unka Mitch." I was pretty proud of the likeness myself, but it's not like I put any effort into it -- five minutes max. Goes to show what a great job Nintendo has done with their whole front end, though.

It's a Wii, Wario!
I've yet to be totally blown away by a Wii game. WarioWare: Smooth Moves is another one that left me wanting more. The potential is there for something really amazing, but so far the Wii has offered a bunch of novelties, and one fully fleshed-out game that A) didn't take full advantage of the control scheme, and B) sucked. Ah well, the system is young yet.
